SO. I've finished working on the sticker book - stay tuned to find out when it'll be out! Now that it's done, i haven't really figured out what to do with myself. After being told that my drawing style is "not accomplished enough," i felt like my dreams of becoming the most awesome paper doll artist in the world were dashed among the rocks. But i am resilient! So i've been occupying my time working on a paper doll portfolio to send to doll magazines and publishers that might be into publishing such things. I've got a bunch of different dolls started, so hopefully i won't get bored with it halfway through like i do with most artsy things. I think i should work on a children's book as well. But it takes so long and it's hard to do when you don't have a concrete idea. Then you don't hear from anyone for months and months. Would i like some cheese to go with that whine? No thank you.
Maine is pretty good. It's labor day weekend so there's a million and a half people running around being trashy and touristy. For those of you who don't know, i grew up in a tourist town, and now i've moved to another tourist town. After this weekend it'll slow down, and after columbus day it'll be a ghost town. That's when it gets really nice. Although that means the goldenrod will be closed and won't be able to get waffles and chocolate frappes (not at the same time) until next summer.
My desk faces a large window that looks out onto the lawn and the road. And also my bird feeder. I will be posting pictures of the birds that stop by the feeder, just to warn you.
I guess that's all for now kids.
